Your data

Plate & Page stores recipes, folders, meal plans, groceries, preferences, and shared-household content on your devices. If you enable iCloud, Apple CloudKit synchronizes that content using your Apple Account.

Features you choose

Website import downloads the secure HTTPS page you select, follows only secure redirects, and may download the recipe image referenced by that page. Photo import reads only images you select through Apple’s photo picker. Recipe drafting, ingredient matching, and recipe course organization use Apple’s on-device models when available. Private local rules provide the organization fallback, and you review every suggested category before it is saved.

If you choose Create Image, Plate & Page provides the recipe title, description, and up to eight ingredient names to Apple’s Image Playground system interface. Apple may process the request on device or using Private Cloud Compute, depending on system capabilities and settings. Plate & Page receives only the image you approve and does not operate an AI server.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. Plate & Page receives entitlement status and does not receive your payment-card details.

Household sharing

Household sharing uses Apple’s CloudKit invitation system. People you invite can access content placed in that household.

Deletion

You can remove personal recipes through the Trash and shared data from the household. Removing the app does not itself remove data already stored in iCloud.
